Aerial photograph of the largest traditional jute market in Bangladesh in Guthaile, Jamarpur, Bangladesh. Jute fibres are taken from the bast (inner bark or skin) of the jute plant (Corchorus sp.). Jute can be used as insulation or to make a textile called hessian or burlap. About 200,000 US dollars worth of jute is traded here per market. Photographed in 18th August 2023.
