Light micrograph of corpora amylacea. Corpora amylacea are normal microscopic bodies found in the prostate glands. Here, several of the corpora (roughly oval light purple bodies) are seen together in a background of other prostate gland secretions (smaller purple spots). The corpora have a layered or lamellated appearance. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 200x when printed at 10 centimetres.
