Tamsulosin prostate drug pills in a blister pack. This drug is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged prostate in middle-aged and elderly men. The prostate is a small gland found in men just below the bladder. A common symptom of BPH is difficulty in passing urine. Tamsulosin works by enabling the muscles of the prostate gland to relax, thus allowing urine to flow freely out of the body.
