With the advent of winter, tens of thousands of migratory birds start arriving in Bangladesh from Siberian and Himalayan regions. But the number of migratory birds visiting Bangladesh is decreasing every year because of poaching and scarcity of wetlands. As the country??? population is increasing and forests and wetlands are decreasing, the beauty of nature is being lost. The photo was taken from the lakes at Jahangirnagar University, 32 kilometers from Bangladesh capital Dhaka, still considered as a safe abode for guest birds.
