A half-sized scale model of Australias first satellite, WRESAT, which was launched from Woomera, South Australia, on 29 November 1967 by a Redstone rocket. WRESAT was an acronym for Weapons Research Establishment Satellite. The model depicts the ion chambers and ozone sensors forming the payload, dipole communications antennas and the integral solid propellant motor at the base.
