Auroral rays during the great equinox display on 23 March 2023. The rays have a strong vertical structure from precipitating electrons but were pulsing off and on rather than rippling. The predominant colour is green and there is a lot of red and magenta mixed in. The rays are converging upward to the magnetic zenith. Photographed from southern Alberta, Canada.
