Rural people armed with Bamboo fish traps and handmade fishing nets take part in celebrating in a 100-year winter polo bawa fishing festival at the Gowahori beel of Biswanath upazila in Sylhet. Locals said the festival is celebrated every year at the 1st day of the Bangla month of Poush and apart from the locals, people from different parts of the Upozila gather at the beel with different kinds of fishing traps to partake in it.
