Jack Cade (d1450) English rebel of Irish extraction; leader of Kentish Rebellion during reign of Henry VI; declaring himself Lord of London. Held London for about 2 days. Killed in Sussex attempting to escape to the coast. Copperplate engraving early 19th century.
