Light micrograph of hepatocytes (liver cells) containing lipofuscin pigment (the many orange-yellow grains or dots). The hepatocytes stain light pink and have round nuclei (the blue circles). Lipofuscin pigment can be seen normally in several organs, and tends to increase in amount with age. Periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) stained tissue section. Magnification: 400x when printed at 10cm.
