Estonia; Harju County; L滗ne-Harju municipality; Laulasmaa: concert hall of Arvo P鋜t Centre (Estonian: Arvo P鋜di Keskus); opened 13th of October; 2018; Spanish architects Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano of architecture studio Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos built the new Arvo P鋜t Centre some 35 km west of Tallinn; 2016 to 2018. Thanks to the huge forest and the nearby shores of the Baltic Sea; the spectacular archtiecture allows a deep mystic dialogue between nature and music. The centre is run by the P鋜t family (director: son Michael P鋜t); the State of Estonia and international sponsors. Famous composer Arvo P鋜t was born on 11th of September; 1935 in Paide; Estonia. Hespent his childhood in Estonian city of Rakvere (German formerly: Wesenberg). He is one of the most important composers of the Neue Musik (New Music) of the second part of 20th century and a representative of the "Neue Einfachheit" (New Simplicity). He is most famous for his newly created composing style called Tintinnabuli (tintinnabulum = latin for "little bell"); which first appeared in his piano piece "F黵 Alina" (For Alina); in 1976. Since 1976; he composed most famous works like Passio; Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten; Tabula Rasa (1977); Te Deum; Miserere; Adam`s Lament; or "Spiegel im Spiegel" (mirror in the mirror). Further works are Festina lente; Magnificat; Berliner Messe; or his work "Wenn Bach Bienen gez點htet h鋞te" (If Bach would have been a bee keeper); of 1976. Most important teacher of P鋜t was Heino Eller; most important producer Manfred Eicher. In 1980; Arvo P鋜t; his wife Nora and his chddlren had to leave the Soviet Union and emigrated to Vienna (Austria). In the same year; he left Austria and moved to Berlin; Germany; where the family stayed; until 2010; and their return to Estonia.
