North Island, New Zealand - 23 April 1983. New Zealand has famously volatile weather, even more so than the UK. Take this image. One minute we were driving in bright sun by the beautiful lake Tekapo on the South Island. Next minute, this fog descended, giving the scenery a surreal, mysterious atmosphere. You can still see the sun struggling to pierce the murk.
