Bagan, Myanmar - 29 January 2013; One of the great Buddhist Temples in the Bagan Valley in Mandalay, Myanmar. From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later become Myanmar. At its peak, over 10000 monasteries, temples and pagodas were built in the valley, of which over 2000 still remain today.
