3434821 Four belts 17th - 19th century (parcel-gilt silver, silver-gilt, silver, enamel & precious stones) by Hungarian School; Private Collection; (add.info.: Top: A HUNGARIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER AND STONE-SET BELT PROBABLY TRANSYLVANIA, 18TH CENTURY Composed of six trapezoidal silver-gilt segments, joined by openwork silver links, each with applied openwork foliage and set with table- cut garnets, mounted in domed and chased bezels, and baroque pearls, the center with similarly-decorated cartouche suspending three domed pear-shaped drops, two set with table-cut garnets and one with a baroque pearl, the hinged clasp is formed of two semi-circular openwork silver segments mounted with rose-cut garnets and terminating with a hook and loop closure, two segments with loops for suspension, apparently unmarked, with later French control marks Second from top: A HUNGARIAN SILVER-GILT AND STONE-SET BUCKLE WITH FOUR BOSSES MARK PROBABLY THAT OF GEORGIUS HOSSMANN, NAGYSZEBEN, LATE 17TH CENTURY The buckle consists of two curved silver-gilt panels with openwork scrolls and set with baroque pearls and cabochon garnets, joined by a conical-shaped rosette formed of openwork silver-gilt scrolls set with baroque pearls, turquoises and garnets, issuing from one side of the buckle a section of velvet applied with three bosses similarly decorated with enamel flowerheads and set with turquoises, pearls and redstones, the velvet terminating with a hinged hook set with a pearl and garnet, possible alterations, marked on reverse of buckle, mark double-struck 21翹 in. (51.4 cm.) long Second from bottom: A HUNGARIAN SILVER AND STONE-SET BELT PROBABLY TRANSYLVANIA, CIRCA 1700 Composed of seventeen square links, each composed of openwork scrolls with a cabochon moonstone in the center and surrounded by garnets, pink sapphires, and emeralds, the hooks joined by a ropetwist clasp, two square links set with loops for suspension, apparently unmarked 32 in. (81.2 cm.) long Bottom: A HUNGARIAN GOLD, ENAMEL AND GEM-SET BELT BUDAPEST, CIRCA 1825, MAKER\'S MARK FM; SOME ORNAMENT 17TH-CENTURY Formed of two halves consisting of four oval links decorated with earlier mounts of champleve enamel and collet-set emeralds, six square silver-gilt segments decorated with cloisonne enamel, filigree and collet-set pink stones and emeralds, each half terminates with a shield shaped segment decorated with earlier mounts of enamel foliage and flowers set with rubies and emeralds, the segments are connected by arched links and fastened with a circular central clasp, also decorated with champleve enamel, the center set with a rectangular table-cut light green gemstones surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, marked on oval, shield shaped segments and on clasp 25 in.
