Very Large Telescope (VLT) image of the star SU Aurigae or SU Aur. It is located about 500 million year away in the constellation Auriga. SU Aur is young star and has a heavier mass than the Sun. This image shows the disc around SU Aur and its dust tails. These dust tails are from a nebula flowing into its disc. This nebula was most likely formed when the star collided into a cloud of gas and dust. Image obtained with the European Southern Observatory (ESO)'s Very Large Telescope (VLT), using its Spectro-Polarimetric High-Contrast Exoplanet Research (SPHERE) device.
