Mons - St Synphorien Cemetery. Commenced by Germans immediately after the battle in remains of old potash mine and they erected memorials to Brtish regiments and one to soldiers of both armies. Almost unique in its mixture of German and British graves. Contains 1st & last soldier to be killed in WW1. Also Lt Dease, 1st VC. 284 Germans, 40 of them KTG 229 Commonwealth, 65 of which KTG St Synphorien Cemetery
