Helen Keller (1880-1968) born blind deaf mute. Thanks to her governess she overcame these handicaps, studied and created in 1921 the American Foundation for the Blind. Pictured here on the S.S. Cleveland with her Great Dane dog, given to her by Robert Ltuz, a German publisher.
