Colour illustration depicting the tourist class restaurant on board P&O's superliner 'Canberra' around the time of her maiden voyage to Sydney, Australia in June 1961. Designed by London architect, John Wright, the restaurant was able to seat up to 750 at one time. Screen sculptures at the entrance and in each bay are by Geoffrey Clarke. The 'Canberra' which went out of service in 1997 was the largest ship to be built by the Harland & Wolff ship yard since White Star's 'Britannic' in 1914.
