Advertisement from 1883 for Dr. Scotts Electric Hair Brush, claiming to cure a variety of ills, from headaches to deafness, baldness to a 'weary brain'. The brush contained a magnetic rod in the handle, but was named an 'Electric Hairbrush' by the Pall Mall Electric Association who evangelised the healing benefits of curative electricity.
