Fringed waterlilies (Nymphoides geminata) and azolla fern (Azolla filiculoides rubra) on a Palm Tree Creek floodplain wetland in the Dawson River Valley, central Queensland, Australia. The floodplains and riparian forests of the Dawson River immediately upstream of Nathan Gorge contain unique wetlands, rare plants and important wildlife habitats.
