The auction of more than 1 million floor first games began in London this morning, at Beaver Hall, headquarters of the Hudson Bay Company. The sale which includes 45,000 South West African lamb skins, the first to be auctioned in London since the beginning of the wall, will probably last until the end of the week, and most first will be sent abroad. Many thousands of mink, beaver, ermine, musquash, Squirel, badger, lynx and other furs are included in the sale. 1 October 1946
