Wales, Powys, Cilmery. Memorial to Llywelyn ap Gruffydd (Llywelyn the Last Welsh Prince of Wales) unveiled 23 June 1956. The monolith stands on a mound at Cefn y Bedd, Cilmery, near Irfon Bridge where Llywelyn was wounded, then beheaded, after a skirmish with the English forces of Edward I, 11 December 1282.
