Minoan scripts. Three scripts found by Arthur Evans on blocks in Mycenean buildings at Knossos, Crete. The scripts are known as Minoan Hieroglyphics, Linear A and Linear B. It is thought the Minoans invented the earlier linear script (Linear A), which is thought to have been in use from around 1800 to 1450BC. Linear B is the script of the Mycenean Greeks and was used from around 1500 to 1200BC.
