Whiskey bottling, historical artwork. The women are labelling bottles of a whiskey called Old Vatted Glenlivet (OVG), produced by the Andrew Usher company. Whiskey is an alcoholic drink obtained by distillation of fermented grain crops. Crops used include barley, rye, wheat, and maize. The advent of the Industrial Revolution allowed increased production of alcoholic beverages such as whiskey. This artwork is from a book published in 1890.
