Ochre sea stars (Pisaster ochraceus) exposed at low tide. This species of starfish can be found in waters up to 100 metres deep and feeds on mussels, barnacles, limpets, snails and other smaller species. It can grow up to 25 centimetres across. Photographed at the Olympic National Park, on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, USA.
