EditorialThe Ribat (fortress) of Sousse, Tunisia, formed part of a chain of costal fortresses erected against the attacks of the Christians. Built towards the end of the 8th century for a garrison of fifty; 30 x 30 m, three round towers, one higher watch-tower.
