Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) with a tumour on its head. Tumours are made up of a solid mass of tissue which usually occurs when cells divide and grow excessively. The giraffe is the tallest living land animal. It can grow to a height of 5.5 metres and weigh over a tonne. It feeds mainly by browsing on the twigs and leaves of trees.
