Giovanni ANSALDO (November 28; 1895 - September 1; 1969) Italian journalist; grandson of the entrepreneur of the same name; owner of the Genoese company Gio. Ansaldo & C.; however he never had any interest in the "family" company. A frequent journalist from a young age; he collaborated with many illustrious names of Italian culture including Gaetano Salvemini; Leo Longanesi; he was a friend of Piero Gobetti. On the rise of fascism he manifested himself against his violent methods and for his anti-fascism he was sent to confinement. Later freed he integrated thanks to the conviction made by Leo Longanesi and was rehabilitated to the point of becoming; even while maintaining a certain autonomy of thought; a journalist on the radio of the regime. At the fall of fascism he did not join the republic of Sal貌 and indeed sided with the opposite side; at the end of the war he continued his career as a journalist; among other positions becoming the director of "Il Mattino" in Naples.
