Northlands, New Zealand - 12 May 2012; On 8 October 1769, Cook and his party made their historic landing in New Zealand. Shortly afterwards, he names this spot Bream Bay, because he thought he saw a large number of the fish offshore. He was wrong - they were probably snappers. Anyway, here see this beautiful spot on the East/Pacific coat of New Zealand's North Island on a luminous sunrise.
