Partial reconstruction of the eroded bank of a stream using coir roll revetments which provide rapid establishment of marginal vegetation. The coir material is an organic product of natural coconut fibre which acts as a growing medium. The rolls can be planted with native flora and fauna which bring together, biological, ecological and engineering aspects to stabilise and vegetate the eroded bank.
