The Pantheon, Rome's best preserved ancient building, located in the Piazza della Rotunda, was built in 27 B.C. by Marcus Agrippa and reconstructed by Hadrian in the early 2nd century A.D., it has been used as a Christian church since the 7th century. Pantheon means temple to all the gods.
