Mr K G Foulds of Clissold Road, Stoke Newington, rescued his 17 years old son when he was trapped in blazing garage in Church Walk, Stoke Newington. The boy, Kenneth, was working in the garage when a car caught fire. He tried to push the car towards the front door, but was beaten back by the flames. Burned and exhausted he tried to get out by the back door, but it was closed. His father then forced open the back door and got him out. Both were taken to the Metropolitan Hospital for treatment. Three cars in the garage were destroyed and the garage badly damaged. Photo shows Kenneth Foulds October 19th 1935
