The so-called Temple of Vesta which is a rotund temple of the first century AD. From the 16th century it contained a miraculous image of the Virgin found in the Tiber - Another temple which survived due to having been converted to a Christian church in the middle ages - the Temple of Hercules - built in the 1st Century BC. It was dubbed the Temple of Vesta by early archaeologists who were confused by its round shape
