Praxiteles crater. Mosaic image of the Praxiteles crater on the surface of Mercury, showing a number of irregularly shaped depressions on its floor. These depressions are indications of possible past volcanic activity within the crater. Imaged by combining images from the narrow-angle camera (NAC) and wide-angle camera (WAC) onboard NASA's MESSENGER (MErcury Surface Space ENvironment GEochemistry and Ranging) spacecraft, obtained on 6th October 2008.
