The great cormorant is commonly found in the United Kingdom, parts of Southern Europe, South and East Africa, parts of Central Asia, much of India and South East Asia, Australia, Greenland, Iceland, and parts of Photographyrthern Canada. It typically inhabits coastal areas, estuaries, rivers, and lakes. The bird prefers to hunt in shallow water but is capable of diving to depths of 30 meters (100 feet).
