Small part of the Inca ruins and agricultural terraces at Qantus Raqay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Peru. These terraces are thought to be the site of an Inca agricultural research centre for testing different crop strains. The different heights of the terraces created a series of microclimates that mimicked growing conditions at different altitudes.
