Terracotta Army is located in Xian, Shaanxi Province, China. The terracotta sculptures depict the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. This form of funerary art was created to guard the tomb of the first emperor, who died in 210??09 BCE, in order to protect him in the afterlife.
