Computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen of a patient with a large liposarcoma (dark, centre-right). Liposarcomas are malignant (cancerous) tumours that develop from fat tissue. They are slow-growing tumours that are unlikely to spread (metastasise). Treatment is with surgical removal of the tumour, however they often reoccur.
