Abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan of a 50 year old male patient with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) showing kidney enlargement with multiple cysts and multiple kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) . Multiple hepatic cysts are also present. ADPKD is an inherited disease that causes the growth of numerous cysts in the kidneys. Eventually they will cause the kidneys to fail (end-stage renal disease) leading to dialysis or transplantation.
