Uzbekistan, a testimony to one of the largest human-caused environmental disasters. Due to the excessive water consumption for cotton production in UZB, the Amudarya River was deprived of so much water that it no longer reaches the Aral Sea. The lake has shrunk to about 15% of its size since the 1960s. The fishing boats are located on the edge of the old coast. Now about 200km from the rest of the lake.
