The corona of the Sun as revealed during a total solar eclipse. This part of the Sun's atmosphere is only visible to the naked eye during eclipses, as the light from the Sun's otherwise photosphere drowns it out. The structure in the corona is due to the Sun's magnetic field, channelling charged particles.
