Ancient Sclerocephalus hauseri amphibian fossil. This is an extinct genus of amphibian from primarily Germany and the Czech Republic. Adults reached a body length of around 150 centimetres, and had an elongate trunk and a laterally compressed tail. This fossil dates back to the Lower Permian period, 290 million years ago. Found in the Rhineland, Germany.
