Sunda pangolin (Manis javanica) holding the gloved finger of a scientist during a medical checkup. This species is the most widely distributed pangolin in Southeast Asia. It can be distinguished from the Chinese pangolin by having fewer rows of scales across the back, shorter forelimb claws, and a longer, more slender tail. Photographed in Kinabatangan, Sabah, Malaysia.
