Light micrograph of myxoid change. Myxoid refers to the appearance of mucin (light blue-white) that is not truly mucous, and can be seen in some damaged tissues. In this case, myxoid change was seen in the bone of a patient damaged by arthritis. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 200x when printed at 10 centimetres.
