This type of lung cancer is made up of glands which have abundant mucin (mucous) material in their cells (white-light blue, seen in most of area of the image). Between the cancer glands is stroma (thin dark pink areas) and a few small blood vessels (bright red). Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 200x when printed at 10 centimetres.
