The rash may appear as red or silvery ring-like lesions, and can be scaly, dry, or swollen. Sometimes the rash grows and spreads. It commonly affects arms and legs, but it can appear almost anywhere on the body. The disease is highly contagious and can be transmitted through direct contact or contact with contaminated materials. Treatment involves the use of antifungal medication.
