The ASTP mission was the first joint international crewed space-flight. It took place from 15-24th July 1975. The US senior ASTP flight director M.P. Frank is watching a view of the Soviet Soyuz 19 spacecraft from the American Apollo CSM-111 spacecraft just before they docked in orbit to test a jointly-designed international docking mechanism.
