Lovely Rosa won the Oaks in 1936 and is owned by that popular sportsman; Sir Abe Bailey; Bt; trained by Cottrill at Lambourn; and is by Tolgus out of Napoull. Lovely Rosa; who was bought as a yearling by Mr H Cottrill for £388; is the first horse owned by Sir Abe Bailey to win a classic. Starting at 33-1; she won by 3/4 length in 2 mins 36 secs.
