Light micrograph of breast lobules and ducts. Breast lobules (blue-purple circular structures) are grouped together in clusters that are separated by collagenous stroma (pink areas). The lobules produce milk which is collected in ducts (longer tubular structure traversing mid to upper right of the image) and eventually secreted from the nipple. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 100x when printed at 10 centimetres.
