The Trial of Catherine Howard; 1542. In 1541 Cranmer gave information to the King as to the Queen's past life; and she was thereupon put on trial. She was released from prison; however; following the execution of those implicated with her. But further evidence being adduced as to her conduct since her marriage with Henry; a bill of attainder was passed; and she was beheaded on 13 February 1542.
