Female reproductive system, illustration. Across top is one of the two fallopian tubes, or oviducts, that branch off from the top of the uterus (womb, top right), and terminate at the ovaries. At centre is the epoophoron, an embryological remnant made up of small ducts. It is homologous to the epididymis in the male reproductive system. From Traite dAnatomie Humaine, Vol 4 (1905) by French anatomist Leo Testut (1849-1925).
